MIT’s CONVERGE program, a graduate preview weekend held on campus from
October 1-4, seeks to attract candidates from underrepresented and
under-served communities and to offer on-campus exposure to those
interested in pursuing graduate studies at MIT. The deadline for all
applications is August 1, 2009.

Today, BSI celebrates M. Lucia James. She was the first African-American faculty member at the University of Maryland and served as the Director of the Curriculum Laboratory in the College of Education.
